Ausbildung is a vocational education and training program in Germany that combines theoretical learning at school with hands-on work experience in a company. Under the Dual Education System implemented in Germany, Ausbildung participants spend approximately 30% of their time at vocational school (Berufsschule) to learn theoretical knowledge and 70% at a company to gain real work experience. The program lasts between 2 to 3.5 years, depending on the chosen field.
